Our 40th class reunion
was held on the weekend of July 7th and 8th, 2006.
The activities kicked off with a golf outing on
Friday
afternoon at Riverside Golf Club in Cambridge Springs.
Twenty two golfers got out their
clubs and took to the links. Golfers couldn’t have asked for a better day with temperatures in the mid 70’s
and clear blue skies.
Following the afternoon of golf,
golfers wound down with a few drinks and plenty of stories on the
deck outside the club house.
All of the golfers enjoyed the chance to visit with fellow
classmates.
A special thanks to Barry Masterson for his efforts in organizing the golf
outing and making it such a success!
Friday evening approximately
fifty
classmates gathered for a stag that was held at
Molly Brannigans Irish Pub.
In
the past this
event has always been very well attended and this reunion was no
exception. We had a large number of classmates who traveled to Erie
to attend the reunion festivities. Some traveled from as far
away as California and Arizona to meet old friends and share a drink
or two.
All in attendance had a great
time catching up and reminiscing about their days at Prep with many
stories being shared throughout the evening. It was a great
opportunity for everyone to renew friendships and make connections
with classmates that we haven't seen in many years.
The weekend activities were capped off
by a Dinner/Dance that was held at the Courtyard By
Marriott located at I-90 and Peach Street. The glass-enclosed
Winter Garden Atrium Room proved to be the
perfect
setting for the evening.
Thirty classmates
and their spouses and guests were on hand to enjoy a delicious
buffet dinner. This was an excellent opportunity for everyone
to reconnect with fellow classmates and share 40 years of
experiences and accomplishments.
A cocktail hour
preceded the dinner and a local DJ provided music from the 60's,
70's and 80's for dancing and everyone's listening enjoyment
following the dinner. A special thanks
to Dennis Manendo for making the arrangements for the music and
as our banker collected everyone's dinner payments. |
